Basic use and limitations  When and how to use

The DAHEDI insulin pump is meant to use for the treatment of Diabetes Mellitus by automatic subcutaneous administration of fast-acting insulin only.

The dosation of the insulin is to be determined in co-operation with a physician (MD) who is experienced in, qualified and entitled for diabetes treatment.

Regular control of users' bloodsugar levels (self-control) and intensive training in the working of insulin are necessarily for the use of the insulin pump. This training is NOT part of the user instruction manual and should be executed by personnel, qualified in diabetes treatment.

Use types 25D100 with U100 fast-acting insulin only, so concentration of 100 IU. (Insulin Units) per milliliter.

Use types 25E 40 with U40 fast-acting insulin only, so concentration of 40 IU. (Insulin Units) per milliliter.

! A wrong dosation of insulin can cause life threatening situations !.

You can use the Dahedi insulin pump with types of vails, catheters and batteries which are mentioned in the user instruction manual.

Do NOT use the pump in high magnetic or electrical fields.

Do NOT use the pump in water deeper than 2 meters.

Do NOT drop the pump on the floor or expose it to mechanical shocks.
